Dear Friends,

    Jesus LOVES YOU! I want to share the love of Jesus Christ with you this month and I want to share how thankful I am that He loves me. I know there was a time when I wasn't sure that anyone loved me or that I was worth loving. We have all done things in our lives that we are not proud of and we find it hard to believe that there is someone who loves us no matter what. Someone who says, Come to Me, all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Jesus is waiting for you, just call on His name.

Jesus Christ died on a cross for you. He took your shame, your sins, your broken heart and all that concerns you to the cross. He laid down His life that you might have life. Before the sacrifice of Jesus there was not one man who was holy enough or righteous enough to stand before God for all men. There was no one who could make the ultimate sacrifice that would only have to be made once and never again would the price for sin be paid. He is the Son of God and He was willing to do for you what no man can do. HE DIED FOR YOU, HE SHED HIS BLOOD FOR YOU and HE Rose again from the dead that we might all know the ultimate power of God and His authority over the worst enemy, Death. No longer do you have to be in fear of what will happen when you leave this earth. No more do you have to worry if you did enough good things to get into heaven. No more do you have to wonder if there is even life after death. Because the second you call on the NAME OF JESUS, the second you recognize His perfection over all your imperfections and you accept His sacrifice as payment for your sins, your name will be written in the Book of Life. He will send His Holy Spirit to encourage you and comfort you and teach you about all things pertaining to this life and the life to come. He will become your very best friend and no matter what happens to you He will always be right there with you.

     This may sound too simple for you, after all, is trusting in One man enough to pay the price for all we have done? I am here to tell you the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that yes, it is that simple. When you realize your need for a Savior, when you know in your heart that your righteousness is nothing compared to a perfect Loving God, than all you have to do is come to Him, confess you are a sinner. Receive His finished work on the cross and be cleansed from all sin. Faith in Jesus Christ, faith in beleiving the One whom the Father sent is what pleases the Father. When we realize His love for us, when we realize there is truly no other way, we can take hope in Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God, come in the flesh to die for us. To be the Mediator between us and Our Father in heaven.

     The Word of God tells us in John 3:16; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever Believeth In HIM should not perish but have eternal life. You might say to me, I believe in Jesus, I have heard about Him in church so what are you saying here. I want to tell you that I grew up going to church every Sunday, even went to private school, where I heard about God, I heard about Jesus, but honestly I never knew the good news of His salvation and freedom that were available to me. I always thought God was keeping track of everything I did, good and bad, and I knew the bad far outweighed the good, so knowing I would never be good enough caused me to walk away and do whatever I wanted to in life. I figured there was no hope for me anyways and I was going to hell when I died, so I might as well enjoy it here. Little did I know that a day would come when I would hear the Good News, the news that Jesus Christ loved me and died for me. That He stood in my place, that He took my sins upon Him, and that He desired a relationship with me. When that happened, I turned and I called out to Him and I asked His forgiveness and received His grace and mercy. And to be honest my life has never been the same. I have joy, I have peace, I have love. I have a song in my heart and my heart has been made one with Him. He is my Savior, my Friend, My Redeemer and yes my friend, Our Redeemer LIVES!

If you are reading this and you are not sure about GOD'S love, if you do not believe He is able to fill you with love, joy and peace then I pray that this day you will take a moment and just ask Jesus to show you. Tell Him you believe in His sacrfice and all He has done for us, that you receive His forgiveness, and that you would love to know Him. I promise You, His word is truth and He says, if you seek me with all of your heart, all of your mind and all of your soul, you will find ME. Jesus said, "Come to Me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest." There is a rest in Him from all the worries of this world, there is peace in Him that is beyond your understanding and there is a perfect love in Him that will capture your heart. He is in love with you, will you fall in love with Him today? I hope so. I pray His love for you this day in Jesus name. I pray His joy and His peace to overcome you and that you will know from this day forward how much you are loved. I pray you will no longer be concerned about what eternity holds for you.
