Encouraging
Word May 2008
Dear
Friends,
Being
a mom is one of the hardest yet most important jobs a woman can
have. We live in a world with many single moms and they are doing
all they can just to survive. In this they try to give to their
children all they possibly can and most of the time they feel
as if they are failing at their job. It is not just single moms,
but all moms, who wonder to themselves, " Am I doing all
I can for my child, will he grow up and be a good person."
So many questions moms ask themselves and in their thoughts they
are always thinking they didn't do enough for their child. Sometimes
it is a very long time before they see the results of their hard
labor and the fruit of it.

I
believe with all
of my heart that Our Father in heaven holds a very special place
in His heart for moms. Who would know our struggles more than
Him? Who could feel the compassion a mother feels when her child
is hurting like Our Lord Jesus Christ. Who can feel the pain of
a child leaving home deciding to go out on His own more than the
One who taught us of the Prodigal Son. Who knows the pain of feeling
unloved, deserted and the lack of gratefulness that a mom feels
at times in her life. Who else but Our Heavenly Father, He has
experienced it all. He called Israel His Chosen, yet how many
times did they stray. He called them to Himself yet they never
understood the power of love He offered them. He never deserted
them, even to this day, they are His. His heart is a parents heart.
His love is perfect love. His faithfulness is greater than even
the greatest parent on earth. For no matter where His children
go, no matter how far they stray, no matter what they do, His
love is never ending and He promises that no one can snatch you
out of His hands.

Moms,
be encouraged today. Know there is Someone who cares about you
and all you go through every day. Know there is Someone who feels
your heart and holds your heart in His hands. Know there is Someone
who loves your child even more than you do. Know that He gave
you this very child and there is a reason for that child's life.
Your child has purpose and you have a greater purpose, being a
mom. Jesus loves you. He is there for you. You can cry out to
Him and He will make sure your children have what they need. You
can leave them at His feet and He will direct their steps. Trust
Him with your children but more than that trust Him with yourself.
Give Him all your cares and worries for He cares for you. He will
make a way where there seems to be no way. He is faithful and
He promises that our children will have peace. So fear not moms,
there is Someone who cares, there is Someone who loves you and
there is Someone who will never leave you or your child. His name
is Jesus and He is there ever second of the day for you and your
children.

My prayer this month is for all moms across the
world to be at peace. To know in your heart that there is a Savior
willing to walk this out with you every day. A Friend who will
listen and heal the hurts. A Redeemer who will bring forth greatness
out of your household when you trust Him. He is calling you and
waiting for you. He has all the answers to every question a mom
has in her heart.
To
all the moms out there I say, "Happy Mother's Day."
May the Lord bless you this day, may He grant you total peace
and may you always know in your heart that He is just a prayer
away.
In
Christ,
Pat
