The Good News of Jesus Christ!

Most anyone you talk to will tell you they are basically a good person and they are probably going to heaven because being good is equated with being righteous.

The Word of God tells us there is none righteous, not even one, so how do we get from being good to being righteous?

When you really look inside of you and measure your goodness against the 10 Commandments you may begin to see that even though you are a good person, you have not always done good things.

Ask yourself some of these questions:

Have I always honored my mother and father?

Have I ever stolen?

Have I always loved God with my whole heart?

Have I ever committed adultery, not just the physical act, but Jesus said, if you even look at someone with lust in your heart you have committed adultery?

Have I honored God by having a day of rest?

I know each one of us can answer no to at least one of these questions and based on our results, the Bible says we have sinned. And if we have sinned against God then we are deserving of hell because no matter how many good things we do, it still does not make us righteous.

BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS!

The Good News of Jesus Christ, The Gospel of Jesus Christ and what He did so that you may live in eternity. Jesus came to this earth in the flesh, that He might die on a cross for our sins. The blood He shed was for you and for me, for the forgiveness of sins. Through faith in His name, in His sacrifice, through confession and repentance we are made righteous through Him.

He died for all men, not just some, but for all. Anyone who receives and believes and ask for His forgiveness from their heart will be saved.

The Good News is that Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him the world might be saved.

There is a way to go from being good to being in right standing before God. Jesus said, "no man comes to the Father but through Me." Jesus is your answer my friend, He is the answer for all of us. In Him we have eternal life, we have hope and we have faith. There truly is no other way. It does not matter what you have been taught, or who taught it to you, there is only ONE TRUTH, ONE WAY, ONE LIFE, and that is JESUS CHRIST, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

If you are one of those people who believe you are good enough and then after reading and answering the questions above and realizing you are not good enough and you want to receive Jesus into your heart, there is only one thing you have to do.

Talk to Him from your heart, confess you are a sinner and ask Him to cleanse you with the Blood He shed for You. He is faithful my friend, He will answer you and you will find life and life eternal in Him.
