How Much Does He Love You!

by Pat Couchman

How much does Jesus love You
Let me count the ways
He left heaven to come to earth
To walk out all His days

He was born in a stable
A king without a home
To serve and to show love
To show us we are not alone

He walked where he was hated
Despised for all good things
Yet he opened not His mouth
That with Him and in Him we may reign

He revealed the Father to us
That we may know the truth
He redeemed our lives with His love
As Boaz did for Ruth

He became the Song of Solomon
Though His beauty was not seen
As He walked forward He saw you
Joyfully dying for your sin

He wept as Jeremiah over the ruins
His heart broke for He knew
That even though He came and died
The ones that chose Him would be few

He raised the dead and healed the sick
With His love and compassion
He taught wisdom and righteousness
To save souls was His only passion

How much does He love You
More than you could ever know
For he took the nails and shed His blood
While being mocked with every blow

He came to be the way, truth and life
That He may take you as His bride
There was no limitation on His sacrifice
Nothing but His life would satisfy

How much does He love You
He defeated every enemy and foe
He took the keys from satan's hand
That in you His power could flow

How much does He love you
After three days He rose again
To prove to all who did not believe
It is His kingdom that will stand

How much does He love you
He ascended to heaven above
And now makes intercession
For all whom He loves

How much does He love You
He says just call upon His name
And He will fill you with love and grace
And your life will never be the same

How much does He love You
He hears every cry and dries your tears
He sent His Spirit to lead and guide you
As you walk out all your years

He will never give up, never turn away
For in His heart your life will stay
He will come again to take us home
And with Him we will worship at the throne

His beauty we will see and then we will know
Just how much He loved us, just how far He had to go
We will see for ourselves the love in His eyes
Behold the glory of the One who said we were worth the sacrifice.
