Love You Lord!

Jesus what would I do if you came by my house today
Would I tell you all I need or would I just ask you to stay
Would I sit at Your feet and learn only from you
Or would I ask You Lord why you do things the way you do.

Would I tell you I am upset over things in my life
Or would I ask Lord for You to make me Your wife
Would I expect you to come and serve me in my home
Or would I jump for joy at the chance of showing you love

So many days are spent in prayer asking for all we need
Oh Jesus forgive us for not just getting on our knees
And telling you how much we love you and happy to be yours
Instead of asking all the time Lord, please open the doors.

Would I see the love in your eyes, the nailprints in your hand
Would I stand in awe over the Father's Holy Lamb
Would I wash your feet with my tears and my praise
Or would I just complain about the problems of the day

Would I waste my precious time with You telling you all my woes
Or would I ask You Lord to fill me up and make me whole
To fill me with Your Spirit of truth that I may worship and praise
With a heart full of love, yes Lord, even for the rest of my days.

What if you came in and wanted to serve me, what would I do
Would I be like Peter and said oh no Lord this you cannot do
Or would I just receive your love, mercy, grace and compassion
And let You serve me with Your love everlasting.

Jesus you are so wonderful, so awesome, so true
I just honestly don't know what I would do
If you came to my house and chose to stay awhile
And I was able to be in your presence and see You smile.

Would I be like Martha running around to serve you
Or would I sit like Mary just listening and learning from you
Oh Lord I know You are here with me every single day
Lord give me the heart of worship to praise You in every way.

Thank You Lord for coming into my life and giving me peace
Thank You Lord that through You I can learn to receive
Grace, love, forgiveness, mercy and faith too
Lord I choose to offer thanksgiving to You.
