A New Heart

Lord you have given me a new heart
You gave my life a brand new start
Never did I think this could happen to me
Until You came along and set me free.

Free to love, free to choose, free to sing
Free from the past and from every evil thing
A heart that only desires to live for You
For You are the One who made my life new.

You took this girl who never knew what love could be
You purchased me and set me free from captivity
You began a work in my heart that changes me day to day
You began to teach me how to choose to walk in Your ways.

Now I have a heart that melts at the sound of Your name
I know Lord my life will never again be the same
For the old is gone, the new is here and in You I abide
You are Our Bridegroom Jesus, we are Your Bride.

I thank You Jesus that there is no one who compares to You
No one who could change my heart and make it so brand new
I give you all the praise, honor and glory that belongs to You
And I pray now for others Lord that they may know You too.
