Somebody's soul is softly crying
Somebody's soul is slowly dying
Somebody's soul is out there lying and…
Somebody's soul has just stopped trying
Somebody's soul can no longer cope
Somebody's soul is strung out on dope
Somebody's soul has lost all hope and…
Somebody's soul is at the end of their rope
Somebody's soul is hurting bad
Somebody's soul has too long been sad
Somebody's soul stays every day mad and…
Somebody's soul has never been glad
Somebody's soul longs to be free
Somebody's soul wants peace and liberty
Somebody needs to tell them that Jesus is the key
He can unlock their soul and end their misery
I guess the somebody they are waiting for Is ME!

The Book ("…Catch on Fire…Urban Evangelism") contains the poet's collection of moving, soul searching Evangelical Poetry and a mini autobiography entitled "The Long Road Home". This section of the book briefly chronicles her adventurous adult life in San Diego, CA, an abusive first marriage and how she was delivered and restored from a $300 a day crack cocaine addiction at the altar when she was 9 weeks pregnant in 1987.
