For the Joy

For the joy that is set before me each day
I will watch and listen and always pray
For the lost, the hurting, the sick and the poor
Praying without ceasing for their open door.

For the joy that is set before me each week
I will watch and pray and the Lord's grace I will seek
To carry us through all the cares of this world
To share the Kingdom of God which is like that precious pearl.

For the joy that is set before me each month
I will pray for others that they will not be crushed
With all the pain and the rejection this world brings
Instead I will pray for them to know the King of Kings.

For the joy that is set before me each year
I will pray that we will all always hear
The still small voice that speaks inside
The Holy Spirit, Our Comforter and Guide

For the joy that is set before me in eternity
I will use all my talents and gifts wisely
That I may lay my crown at His feet
And be filled with joy and everlasting peace.
