Meet My Family

"Through wisdom a house is built, but by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and plesant riches"
Proverbs 24:3-4

This is my wonderful family that the Lord has blessed me with. This picture was taken recently at my daughter's graduation party. I would like you to know a little bit about each one of them and we will start from the youngest to the oldest.

The two little ones are our grandchildren, Austin and Brittnee. Austin is just 3 years old and one of our favorite things to do is to read "I'm Glad I'm Your Grandma" book together. After reading it we usually try to find other things that make us glad together. Austin is my pumpkin while Brittnee is my angel. They both know this and love that they have special names. Brittnee lives in Michigan and I miss her every day. When we visit together it is always "tea time" and she serves me from her kitchen. We also like to read books together and play games. There is such excitement whenever I see either one of these little ones and now we give special hugs called, "huggie hugs." The joy I feel in my heart and the blessings I have received through them cannot be counted. Every moment I spend with them is precious and I have learned more from them about life, and love and trust as I look at life through their eyes. They are the delight of my heart and I thank the Lord for them.

Next is my daughter Tammy, she is the one in the blue shirt. This was her graduation party. She just completed her Master's Degree in accounting and is looking forward to starting her new job. Tammy is special and is loved by everyone who meets her as is the same for my other children. She had worked hard to get where she is and has overcome in spite of many obstacles and rough times. She is a great mom and it is wonderful to see her sitting on the floor playing with Austin. Tammy is my baby and always will be no matter how old she is. She is married to Dave, the guy with the tan clothes on. He is a great son-in-law and has been a blessing to my daughter as she made her way through school. He is a great dad, loves fishing and spends as much time with Austin as possible. They are great parents and it shows through the eyes of their wonderful son.

Standing there with the hat on and in the red shirt is my one and only son David. I could write a whole page on him alone as I could my other children. David is single and is starting at USF this January. He has a heart that would melt any mother's heart. It is full of love and compassion and a sweetness that we rarely find in this day and age. He is a giver and has always been faithful to me as a son. He is very protective of his sisters and his mom and I thank the Lord for him and for the wisdom he possesses at such a young age.

David has his arm around Dawn, my oldest who is standing next to her husband Todd, who is my other favorite son-in-law. Dawn and Todd have blessed me in so many ways I really don't know where to start. Dawn is a great mom and for years worked in a day-care with such a love for children. She is sensitive to me and is there if I ever need her along with Todd. They both blessed me very much when they allowed me to be present in the delivery room when Brittnee was born, as did Tammy and Dave when Austin was born. Dawn is my organized child and one who likes things done in order. She is always caring and loving and also watches over her sister and brother. Todd is a special guy and I really appreciate him. They have been there for me through some difficult times and I give thanks to the Lord for them.

Standing with all of them is mom and dad. That would be me, Pat, standing with Dave. We are blessed to have such a wonderful family and although complete restoration between Dave and I has not taken place yet you can see in this picture that the Lord has done a marvelous work in our lives to bring peace and unity. I give thanks to the Lord Almighty who has made a way for us when there seemed to be no way and that He watches over this family and keeps them protected.

Thank you Lord!
