I know sometimes in life we are convinced that we are in control of our lives, but the truth is, if your life is in Christ, He will keep you, He will direct your steps, even when you want to go another way. His faithfulness to us, His children, is beyond comprehension to me, but time and time again He is there to save me and to give me guidance by His Holy Spirit.

I stand in awe of God over and over again each time I think what I do doesn't really matter, He comes just as His word promises and reminds me that it does matter, it matters to Him. Jesus promised to send His Holy Spirit to us, He said in John 16: 14-15

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you with all truth, for HE will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you."

I know there are many people who do not believe Jesus still speaks today. I know even Christians, including myself, at times doubt His still small voice. We may wonder how such a big God can speak to our little hearts or even be concerned with our lives, when there are millions of people across the world calling out to Him for help. I know all I can say at this point is, God is God. His word is truth and He remains faithful to us no matter what.

Life sometimes seems to big to handle. Things happen we cannot foresee and at times hopelessness finds it's way into our hearts. We become downcast and at times it is even hard to look up. I have heard so many sermons about God's sovereignity that often I wondered why pray, God is in total control, what He says will be, will be, what does He need me for? BUT GOD, continually shows me His faithfulness and His love toward all of us. We pray because He listens, He is the God who cares, who wants to hear us, who wants to lift our burdens and fill our hearts again with hope and faith in Him knowing He will answer us. He even says in His word, "Call on Me, and I will show you things you could not know."

I am just a person who grew up in the Bronx, got married, had children, went through a divorce, totally turned away from any faith in God, (until He came after me and changed my heart,) who lives an everyday life. I do not consider myself anyone special yet God Himself has engulfed my life with His love and mercy and grace. I have heard His voice, I am filled with His Spirit, He lifts me up when I am down. He speaks to me in dreams and visions and He has shown me things I could never have known. Even when I am not looking for Him, even when my heart is turned to other things, He comes to me and His sweet presence melts my heart and causes me to stand in awe of Him.

My friends, I testify that Jesus is alive, His love is real, it is a love you will never know on this earth through anyone else but Him. He is awesome in all that He does and I promise You, He will never leave you nor forsake you.

I know there are many broken hearts out there. Many who turn to alcohol, drugs, pornography and other things to not have to deal with the pain of life. Maybe someone hurt you so bad as a child that you believe your heart can never be different. Maybe your life has been turned upside down by divorce, or death, or loss of job or the many other things that can happen. Maybe you are sitting in a jail cell right now and wondering if God can ever forgive you, or if He can ever help you to forgive the ones that have hurt you so badly.

I testify to you this day Jesus is the changer of hearts, He is the healer of broken hearts, He is all that His word says He is and even more. He forgives and He teaches us to forgive. No one is out of His reach, no one is too hard for him, there is not one person He does not care about. He does not give up hope on drawing all to Him. He will not reject anyone who comes to Him no matter what you have done or what has been done to you. Jesus said, "Come to Me all who labor and are heavey laden and I will give you rest. As sure as I am sitting here typing this today that is how sure I am about His love for each one of us. He is my best friend and He wants to be yours.

The love of Jesus Christ is perfect . Though we may not understand everyday life we can learn to receive His love and learn to walk in victory in every circumstance. There are times I want to shout this message across the world. Times when I wish I could take all that is in my heart and place it in yours. I yearn for you to know the joy of the Lord, the comfort and the peace of the Lord. I also know I cannot do it for you, but I can direct you to the One who can. His name is Jesus, He is the Son of the Living God and He lives and reigns today. He is coming back someday but you don't have to wait until then to know Him. All you have to do is call on His name today. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, ask Him to give you a new heart, ask Him to be your best friend. I promise You He will answer and you will have a relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is waiting, will you receive all that He has for you. Will you hear His voice when He calls to you to come and draw from the river of life found in Him.

Jesus loves you and He loves me. He is totally amazing and my hope for everyone is to know Him and to see His name glorified across this world in each life. If you are already a Christian but you are not sure about hearing His voice or being filled with His Spirit or having a new song in your heart just ask Him. He will answer You and He will fill you with every good gift from above. From this day forward I pray all of us will know OUR GOD IS IN CONTROL and HE WILL KEEP US AND ALL THAT CONCERNS US!
