"Thus
I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your
name" (Psalm 63:4) "I desire therefore that the men
pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting."
(1 Timothy 2:8) "He teaches my hands to make war, So that
my arms can bend a bow of bronze (Psalm 18:34)
"Come out with your hands up,"
a phrase we have heard many times through the TV or
in the news or maybe even experienced ourselves by watching something
happen in our neighborhoods. This month I am speaking to you to
come out with Your hands Up, Praising Almighty God, knowing that
through praise You have intimate relationship and you are walking
forth in the battle with praise and worship not only in Your mouth
but in Your hands. Raising our hands represents surrender to the
Lord, humbling to the Lord that we look to Him from whence cometh
our help. Raise your hands and fight the good fight of faith through
praise.
Many of us have heard the rights given to someone who is arrested.
I have listed those rights and for each one I am going to tell
you Your rights through Christ Jesus and I pray with all of my
heart that you will receive and believe and walk forward not as
someone who has been taken captive by the enemy but someone who
is truly a prisoner of Our Lord Jesus Christ. May you be blessed
as you read.
1. You have the right to remain silent.
The Lord says "You have the right to be called children of
God when you believe on the name of Jesus Christ. You have the
right to use the sword of the Spirit, which is His Word against
all the fiery darts of the evil one. You have a right to enter
into His throne room of grace in your time of need. Do not be
silent, but speak His Word over every situation in your life.
2. Anything you say can be used against
you in a court of law. "The power of life and
death is in your tongue. When you confess me before men I will
confess you before My Father in heaven. When you speak do not
be afraid of what you will say for My Spirit will give you the
words that are needed. Anything you say will be heard in heaven
and when you call on the name of the Lord He will answer you and
show you great and mighty things. Let [raise be continually in
your mouths. Lord let the words of my mouth and the meditation
of my heart bring glory to Your name this day. What I tell you
in secret shout it from the rooftops. Sing praises to His name,
Make loud noises. When we know not what to pray His Spirit makes
intercession for us through groaning which cannot be uttered.
Go forth and make disciples of all men teaching them all things
that I have shown you. And they overcame by the blood of the Lamb
and the Word of their testimony." (The point here, do not
be silent but open your mouth and speak and praise and worship.)
3. You have the right to have an attorney
present now and during any future questioning. "But
He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come
to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession
for them."
4. If you cannot afford an attorney,
one will be appointed to you free of charge if you wish.
"For God so loved the word that He gave His only begotten
Son that whosoever believeth on Him would not perish but would
have eternal life." "Who shall bring a charge against
God's elect? It is God who justifies. "Who is he who condemns?
It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even
at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulations,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or peril
or sword? "For there is one God and One Mediator between
God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for
all to be testified in due time."
Come out of your storm today, lift your hands up and begin to
Praise the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Let Him read You
Your rights through His Word and you will never be taken captive
again.
