A father wanted to read
a magazine but was being bothered by his
little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked
like.
Finally, he tore a sheet
out of his new magazine on which was printed
the map of the country.
Tearing it into small
pieces, he gave it to Shelby, and said, "Go
into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will
show you our whole country today."
After a few minutes,
Shelby returned and handed him the map correctly
fitted together. The father was surprised and asked how she had
finished so quickly. "Oh," she said, "on the other
side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus
back where He belonged, then our country just came together
(Thank you to Debi for
passing this on to us at Friends)

"And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day
whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that
were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve
the LORD "
Joshua
24:15

Pray
For The Peace of Jerusalem
The
Bible tells us in Psalm 122, "pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
they will prosper who love thee."
Below is seven directives to pray for Jerusalem as you pray for
their peace. I hope you will keep this and refer to it often as
you pray according to the will of God and the word of God.
Pray for Jerusalem to be the place for the "House of the LORD,"
the rebuilt Temple.
Pray
for Jerusalem to be the center of worship for the "tribes of
the LORD," not for the glory of the United Nations or Islam.
Pray
for the "Testimony of Israel:" the continued restoration
of the Jewish people to their own land. Also, the continued restoration
of the Jewish people to God through Yeshua.
Pray for the Israeli
government that they would have the wisdom and mind of Messiah in
all that they do and say.
Pray for the prosperity
of Israel.
Pray for the people of
Israel to receive Salvation.
Pray
with trust and peace that all of God's purposes, as spoken in His
Word, will be fulfilled.
"The end of all
things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers"
(1 Peter 4:7).
*All Scriptures are from the NKJV.

Freedom
Paul
and Silas were in prison, bound even with chains on their feet, but
in their hearts they were free, free to worship, free to pray, and
free to praise. And as they did the power of God opened prison doors
and not only gave them the opportunity to be set free but also the
power of God set all the prisoners free. The head guard gave his life
to Jesus that night, and so did his whole family. (paraphrased....
Acts 16:25-34)
No
matter what situation you find yourself in, no matter how bad your
prison may seem, remember you are free, free to worship, free to praise,
free to pray, it is a freedom that cannot be taken away from you and
a freedom that will always capture the heart of Our Father. Let us
live freely in Christ who gave His life for us.

God
Is
Author Unknown
God
is Lord Almighty, Omnipotent King, Lion of Judah, Rock of Ages, Prince
of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Provider, Protector, Paternal
Leader, Ruling Lord and Reigning King of all the universe.
He
is Father, Helper, Guardian and God. He is the First and Last, the
Beginning and the End. He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator
of all He keeps. The Architect of the universe and the Manager of
all times.
He always was, is, and will be: Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and
never Undone. He was bruised and brought healing. He was pierced and
eased pain. He was persecuted and brought freedom. He was dead and
brought life. He is risen and brings power. He reigns and brings Peace.
The world can't understand him, the armies can't defeat Him, the schools
can't explain Him, and the leaders can't ignore Him. Herod couldn't
kill Him, the Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, the people couldn't
hold Him! Nero couldn't crush Him. Hitler couldn't silence Him, the
New Age can't replace Him and Donahue can't explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord. He is goodness, kindness,
gentleness, and God. He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and
pure. His ways are right, His word is eternal, His will is unchanging,
and His mind is on me! His is my redeemer, He is my saviour, He is
my guide, He is my peace, He is my Joy, He is my comfort, He is my
Lord and He rules my life.
I serve Him because His bond is love, His burden is light, and His
goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him because He is the wisdom
of the wise, the power of the powerful, the ancient of days, the ruler
of rulers, the leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers,
and the sovereign Lord of all that was, is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size. His goal is
a relationship with ME! He will never leave me, forsake me, mislead
me, forget me, overlook me, and never cancel my appointment in His
appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up. When I fail, He forgives me. When I am
weak, He is strong. When I am lost, He is The Way. When I am afraid,
He is my courage. When I stumble, He steadies me. When I am hurt,
He heals me. When I am broken, He mends me. When I am blind, He leads
me. When I am hungry, He feeds me. When I face trials, He is with
me When I face persecution, He stills me. When I face problems, He
comforts me. When I face loss, He provides for me. When I face Death,
He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and in every
way. He is God, He is faithful, I am His, and He is mine. My Father
in heaven can whip the father of this world, and so, if you're wondering
why I feel so secure, understand this: He said it, and that settles
it.
God is in control, I am on His side, and that means all is well with
my soul.

and have an active ministry until beset by fading health in the
last two years of his life. Even then, Newton never ceased to be
amazed by God's grace and told his friends:
My

but I remember two things;
That I am a great sinner, and
that Christ is a great Saviour.

Sometimes when life seems to be getting the better of us and we wonder how much more we can take, I pray we will all look at the cross and remember there was One who took our place, who shed His blood, and who is walking with us through every trial of life. He loves you so much He died for you and then He rose again

| As
you gather around your thanksgiving table let it be a reminder of
the wedding feast that is awaiting the bride of Christ in eternity.
Maybe you will invite others who for some reason cannot come, they
have made previous plans, or you have invited others and they say
they have work to do that day and you find yourself with a big dinner
and only a few to feed. That is the time my friend to go and invite
the poor, those who are without to a feast at your home and while
they are there be sure to invite them to the wedding feast of the
Lamb and His bride by sharing Jesus with them. |

A
woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The
coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from
the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He
removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves
you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine
for all the world to see."

Lord
God my heart never ceases to be amazed by all You do
In the midst of every trial Lord Your grace and love show through
As darkness and enemies surround us Lord and attempt to pierce
our soul
You Lord bring a song to our hearts and remind us in You we are
whole
Lord
Your grace is amazing and You hold us so very close
You know what we need when we absolutely need You the most
You shine Your light and bring peace in the midst of the storms
Sweet Jesus we call on Your name as our country mourns.
Lord
God our country has been attacked and yet we stand strong
As a people united in love and compassion we break out in song
We sing God Bless America and the words to Amazing Grace
We are falling to our knees Lord now and seeking Your face
For
there is no hope without You in this world as evil attempts to
defeat
So we come to You humbly Lord to Your Spirit we now take heed
Heal our land Lord, heal the hearts that are so broken and in
pain
Pour out Your grace Lord on America that we might stand strong
again.
Lord
we pray for the President for all our leaders in this country
too
That they will be filled with wisdom and knowledge and look to
You
Lord we pray for those hurting, for the helpers and rescuers too
We pray for Your strength and Your comfort in all that they do.
You
alone are Lord God; You alone are our strength and shield
So we cry out to You Lord and to you our hearts we do yield
We thank You for your faithfulness and for Your love so strong
We thank You Lord that we will see You heal all that is wrong.
Jesus
we love you, we declare Your authority in our country today
Over all the destructive works of the evil one and all his ways
For on the cross Your blood was shed and power was given to You
And through Your name this country will accomplish all it must
do.
|
Jesus
you are our food this day for You said
"I am the Bread of Life"
Jesus You are our drink this day for You said
"He who comes to Me, will never thirst"
Lord, you are our peace this day for You said
"My peace I leave with you, My peace I give
to You"
Lord, you are our victory today for You said
"I am the Resurrection and the Life, he who
believes in Me though he may die, he shall live"
Lord we give thanks this day for all that we have in You.
And we give thanks to Our God for all You continue to do.
