The
Word for October 2001
|
"Now
in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry.
And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and
found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let
no fruit grow on you ever again. Immediately the fig
tree withered away. And when the disciples saw it, they
marveled, saying:
"How did the fig tree wither away so soon?"
So
Jesus answered and said to them,
"Assuredly, I say to you, If you have faith and
do not doubt, you will not only do what was done
to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain,
Be removed and be cast into the sea, it will be
done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing,
you will receive."
There
a just a few things Jesus asks us to do to remove the
mountains in our lives. One is to have faith and do
not doubt, speak to the mountain, and when you pray,
believe. Now I know that may seem simple, but Jesus
comes with simple messages to help us. I know the area
we all struggle with is the doubt, when he says do not
doubt and we find ourselves doubting then what should
we do. Well for me the answer is do not doubt Him, do
not doubt His ability to do what He has said He will
do.
We
lose confidence when we look to ourselves and our
own ability because we cannot do it.
But
when we look to Him and look at all the wondrous things
He has done for us and in us and through us we can then
trust that the same Lord who was able to save you from
going to hell is more than able to do what we ask in
prayer. That my friends is the reason to keep praying,
no matter what.
Trust
in God, trust in His love, His goodness, His compassion,
and His mercy along with His power to accomplish
His will in Your life.
The
Bible also tells us to set our minds on things above,
which is hard to do if we are always looking at our
circumstances. We serve a big God , go outside and look
at the sky, it is pretty big and He is over all the
sky, sun, moon, stars and clouds. He is big and He also
is very faithful to His Word. I know that I struggles
in this area too and that is why I am sharing this with
you today.
I
thought maybe we could help each other,
Number
one(1)- by continually praying for one another,
Number
two(2)- to encourage each other in who God is not
in who we are.
Let
us help each other to always look up and know that He
is the Almighty Living God and there is none besides
Him. Let us encourage each other in our faith and set
our minds on things above and trust in Our Father who
loved us so much He sent His Son to die that we might
have life.
In
Him I will put my trust today, for I know my life
is in His hands.
Matthew
21:18-22

I will be exalted in the earth. "

The
Word for July 2001

"Therefore
hear the parable of the sower." When anyone hears the
word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then
the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown
in his heart. This is he who received the seed by the
wayside." But he who received the seed on stony places,
this is he who hears the word and immediately received
it with joy; yet hear has not root in himself, but endures
only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution
arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who
hears the word and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness
of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
But he who received seed on the good ground is he who
hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears
fruit and produces, some a hundred-fold, some sixty,
some thirty"
Matthew
13:18-23

|
Where is the
seed of God's word falling in Your life. I know in my
life it has fallen in different places at different
times. My prayer now is that His Word will take root
on good ground and bring forth much fruit. This is also
my prayer for you today. Let us hear the word of God
and receive it and understand it, let us bear fruit
and produce.

The
Word for June 2001

"Then
Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly I say to you,
I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before
Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear
them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will
be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The
thief does not come except to steal and to kill, and
to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and
that they may have it more abundantly."
John
10:7-10

The
Word for May 2001

"Then
those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And
the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance
was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and
who meditate on His name."
Malachi
3:16
|
|
From
this Scripture we learn that the Lord is listening
when we who fear Him are talking about Him. Whether
it be about His love, His grace, His mercy, or His
power in our lives, He is listening. Not only is He
listening but He has a book of remembrance in heaven
for those who fear the Lord and those who meditate
on His name. Let us fear Him and talk about Him that
He might listen and hear our conversations and add
our names to His book of remembrance. Always know
that He sees everything and knows everything but in
this verse we find He took note of it all. Praise
His name, how He must love for His children to come
together and speak of His goodness in our lives.

The
Word for April 2001
"Who
has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant
And as a root out of dry ground
He has no form or comeliness
And when we see Him there is no beauty that we should
desire Him.
He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him.
He was despised and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows.
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions
He was bruised for Our iniquities;
The chastisement of our peace was upon Him.
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray,
We have turned, everyone, to his own way;
And
the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted
Yet He opened not His mouth
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And
as a sheep before its shearers is silent; so He
opened not His mouth
He was taken from prison and from judgment, and
who will declare His generation?
For
He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
And they made His grave with the wicked
But with the rich at His death,
Because
He had done no violence nor was any deceit in His
mouth
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him, He has put
Him to grief,
When You make His soul an offering for sin
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His
hand.
He shall see the labor of His seed, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous shall justify many
For He shall bear their iniquities
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong.
Because He poured out His soul unto death
And He was numbered with the transgressors
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah
53

This
my friends is the prophecy concerning Our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. He has borne it all for us. God sees His
seed and is satisfied. If we are strong He will divide
the spoil among us. Yet He asks in verse 8, "who
will declare His generation?"
Jesus is in heaven now sitting at the right hand of the
Father and we are called to declare His generation. His
Gospel, His death and resurrection, His life and His desire
to be Savior to all that will receive Him. Will you declare
His name today, will you tell others about all His wondrous
works. He is asking in verse 8, will you answer?. |

The
Word for March 2001

"And
the twenty four elders who sat before God on their thrones
fell on their faces and worshipped God, saying: "We give
You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who
was and who is to come. Because You have taken Your great
power and reigned." |

Revelations
11:16-17 |
|
Jesus
reigns in heaven and in earth for He is the great I AM.
There will come a day when all will fall at His feet and
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Do you know Him as
Lord? Will You bow before Him today and worship Him and
declare that He reigns. He is the Holy One and He is the
One who brings us all to the place of victory in this
life and in eternity. There is no other besides Him.

The
Word for February 2001
| "And
I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the
tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them
and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor
crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things
have passed away." |

| Revelations
21 3-4 |
The
day is coming my friends when we will all be together with Our
God. It will be a glorious day and it will be a new day. What
we know now will no longer be. Are you ready? Have you received
the forgiveness of Jesus Christ? Have you made Him your Lord
and Savior? This day may not be far off and I pray that each
and every person reading this will ask Jesus to become Lord
of their life that we may all be with Him through out eternity.

"He
who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am
coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus"
Revelations
22:20
These
were the last Words spoken by Jesus to John in the book
of Revelations. He is coming back and we may not know
the time or the hour but we are to be ready. It will be
awesome and we will celebrate Him throughout eternity.

Jesus
is the only way to heaven. He is the door which we must
enter by. There is no other way and if someone tells you
there is please do not listen to them. It is only through
the shed blood of Jesus Christ that we can enter into His
kingdom both in this life and in eternity. The thief steals,
Jesus gives life. Turn to Jesus today and walk through the
door that is open for You where His love awaits.
