Our Christmas and New Year Prayer for you

The Night the Baby was Born

They looked all over for a place to stay,
They had traveled long and were tired that day.
A Baby was about to be born
All they needed was a place to be warm.

They went to every inn in town,
But no room could be found.
To a stable they were sent that night,
There they stayed under the stars so bright.

Mary gave birth to a Son where she lay,
The Savior of the earth was born amidst the hay.
The shepherds they came to worship the King,
And the wise men brought gifts bearing every good thing.

He was called Jesus, as the angel had said,
He was the Son of God born in a place without a bed.
Such a humble beginning for One who would be,
The sacrifice of God for our eternity.

There were no doctors, no delivery room,
No nursery waiting, just the light of the moon.
He didn't go home to a crib of pastels
Instead He walked the earth with a message to tell.

You see, the baby that was born that night in the stable
Is still here today, He is not just a fable.
We celebrate His birth each year on Christmas day,
But in our hearts EVERYDAY is where He longs to stay.

So this year, as you are looking for the gift that is just right,
Don't forget the Savior who was born to bring us Light.
We would have been lost and forever bound in sin
Had he not been born that night, when there was no room in the inn.

We pray blessings upon you as you enjoy time with friends and family this Holiday Season.

" And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His, name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

I pray as we give and receive gifts this year thatwe will remember and remind others of God's greatest gift to us.

Take a moment today and every day, to thank Him for His Son Jesus Christ, our Savior, Our Lord, and our only Way to everlasting life.

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men." Luke 2:14

The Gift of God

The Gift of God did not come wrapped perfectly with bows
He came wrapped and bundled in swaddling clothes.

The Gift of God was not found under a tree
He was born in a stable bringing life to you and me.

The Gift of God was not the most popular one in the store
He was rejected by many and nailed to a cross.

The Gift of God is not something we can buy
His life was given freely that we might have eternal life.

The gift of God was not just for that special one
For He loved the whole world and gave His Son.

The Gift of God can live in your heart today
His name is Jesus Christ and He is calling your name.

So as you shop this season and go from store to store
Take time to hear His voice as He knocks at your heart's door.

Open your heart wide and invite Him in
And the Gift of God will cleanse you and wash away your sin.

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."Luke 2:11

The wise men came from the east seeking the promised child
They saw the star and followed it although it took a while
They asked Herod if he knew where the child had been born
Jesus, King of the Jews, which caused King Herod to scorn.

He sent them on the way giving instructions to bring him news
About the Christ Child that he might worship Him too
But Herod did not plan to worship Christ Our Lord and King

His plan was to kill Him for he was threatened by this very thing.

The wise men went forth and found the house were Jesus stayed
Gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to Him they gave
They fell down and worshipped Him, the Savior, Our King of Kings
The three wise men from the east came bearing every good thing.

As they left they were warned by an angel in the night
To take another way home for something was not right
King Herod planned to kill this child for his heart was so very cold
But God in heaven protected His Child from wickedness of old.

The wise men knowing that Jesus was the Savior of all men
Listened to the angels and did not return the same way again
Instead they went home to their country on a different road
Knowing they had seen Christ Jesus one more precious than gold.

We sing a song about the wise men every year though this season
May we believe with all our hearts that Jesus is the only reason
That the wise men traveled far and wide to bring their gifts to Him
May we all do the same and always worship the King.

The Shepherd of Our Season

Shepherds in the field were keeping watch over their flock at night
When an angel appeared and the glory of the Lord shone so bright
The angel spoke and said do not be afraid for I have come to bring
Tidings of great joy about the birth of your Savior and your King.

The shepherds looked and suddenly they saw a heavenly host
Praising God and announcing peace and goodwill from coast to coast
The shepherds spoke to one another saying let us go and see our King
For the Lord has made known to us this day this marvelous thing.

So they came with haste to find Mary and Joseph and this precious babe
In a manger in Bethlehem they saw the Savior born amidst the hay
When they had seen Him they went and told others of all they knew
Others marveled as they listened to the shepherds' good news.

For a Savior had been promised that would save the world from sin
A Shepherd who would keep His sheep never losing one again
His name is Jesus and these shepherds beheld His glory that night
And spread the good news of His birth and His love to everyone in sight

As we go through this Christmas season let us be like the shepherds that night
And go and tell others of Jesus and tell them He is the Way, the Truth and the Life
Let us give gifts of love, of grace, of forgiveness and hope to all those we meet
Sharing the good news of Our Savior Jesus Christ the Great Shepherd of His sheep.

The gift had to be perfect when it arrived
There was no other way for man to survive
No blemishes or spots could be on the Lamb
For it had to be accepted in the Father's hands

Many gifts had been offered before
But not one could open the door
To the heart of God and His throne room
Without the gift many would suffer doom

The gift was sent through a humble woman
The Father placed the gift within her womb
She carried the King within her till birth
Then wise men bought gifts including myrhh

The gift grew in favor with God and with man
Though His entrance into the world was not grand
He touched many lives with healing and love
This perfect gift sent from the Father above
